As I sit to write this post about a very powerful yet gentle herb, I look down and there is a tincture bottle in front of me. I take a dropperful and put it under my tongue. The taste is strong and bitter…. Very bitter. The herb is Orgeon Grape Root and the bitterness is due to the presence of alkaloids; berberine being the most notable.
